1. Rapid Lash
Give the gift of eyelashes! Yup, you can give long lush eyelashes as a present.
Well, if the gift is used right, which is Easy Peezy.
I have been using this product for years now. After becoming allergic to eyelash extensions, I ventured down the path of eyelash health.
Let me explain… after paying tons of money for eyelash extensions to be glued to my existing eyelashes I noticed that all my real lashes were brittle, short or balding.
Lash serums such as Rapid Lash, Le Lash or others, condition the growth of the eyelashes with natural oils and peptides, preventing breakage.
Serums also extend the growth phase of the eyelash hair cycle, allowing lashes to grow longer and fuller… also preventing shedding!
So… this results in longer, thicker …more dramatic eyelashes naturally.
Typical pricing is $60-$150 for a 3-month treatment (considerably lower than eyelash extensions every two weeks)
2. Tymo: Heated Brush
Okay… buckle up, buttercup! I’m going against everything I stand for… I am not in support of hair gadgets or unprofessional hair gizmos!
BUT! Like many of you, I kept seeing the ad for a brush that will take crazy, frizzy out-of-control hair to soft smooth straight hair WITH body in a simple swipe of a brush…
I researched the TYMO and found it for about $20-$30 on Amazon so I ordered it up.
It arrived within 24 hours… running upstairs; I plugged it in (it heated up within seconds) and ran it through my freshly washed, thick, curly long hair, and… VIOLA! It worked. After about 5 minutes total my whole head was straight and smooth. I hugged my new crazy implement, declaring it my new BFF!
It’s also perfect to touch up my bangs every day, easily.
So… for all my lovelies out there who get a smoothing treatment.. this is the perfect marriage for those in between salon visits.
Buy one for your girl or guy who complains daily that their hair just isn’t as polished as they like
3. Dyson Hairdryer
I wrote a blog about a year again singing the praises of what I thought was an overpriced hairdryer.
When you buy one, you are buying time… a lot of time.
For sh$ts and giggles, I timed myself every once in a while to see how long it took for me to dry this thick, long head of hair… I average between 6-7 minutes! Every other dryer takes about 20 to 30 minutes.
It is worth every penny… and works amazing at getting my hair smooth or curly without frizz. The attachments work brilliantly. Coming with a nozzle, hair comb, diffuser, and…. my favorite, the flyaway smoother that lifts up longer hair and hides the flyaways.
I know the price can scare off a ton of people but a small tip: Costco sells them AND they are on sale at the moment…
4. Brookstone Heated Blanket
OMG… during these cold nights, as I get into bed, I turn on this blanket and melt (literally) into the sheets. There is nothing more cozy than having this warm yumminess soothe my aching body after a long day.
Soft and beautiful elegant colors are available.. The only drawback is sharing it with my cat when he discovers I have it turned on.
Google is showing this blanket sold everywhere from $60 down to $30 if found on sale.
5. The gift of ME!
I am so grateful for all of you! Not only do I love to perform smoothing treatments on my peeps that need the ease of smoother, silkier, and shinier hair… I also love to customize a haircut that is as individual as the person wearing it.
Of course, let’s not forget my passion for special occasion hair. Owning and operating my bridal business for decades… I still love orchestrating simple or intricate hairstyles for that perfect evening.
How wonderful would it be to give the gift of great hair?! Reach out if you would love to prepay or purchase a gift certificate to the salon. As a gift of gratitude from me I will be honoring a $20 credit to your next service for each GC bought.

One last thing.
I recently found out that one of my sweet, loving clients has passed on.
I can honestly say I do my best to give all I can to all of my clients. I try to read the room and either let each of you talk, share, laugh, or cry as much as you want or need in my safe space.
I also try to let each of you rest, not talk, and relax when needed.
My prayer is that I do a good job at this.
My client Jo Ann gave this to me… a woman of faith (she was a “sister”). After a decade and a half of cutting her hair every 5-6 weeks, I am a wiser, more faithful and better woman just by her presence in the salon. I know she is reading this so I just want to say “Thank you Jo Ann for loving me as a stylist, woman, and friend until we met again…”
Writing this also confirms that I honor all relationships with my guests… I am grateful for you and never take your salon visit for granted. It seems so simple to say Thank You but.. THANK YOU!
I sincerely wish all of you and your families a very wonderful and happy holiday season.
I can’t wait to see what 2025 has in store and hope to share memories, adventures and exciting days with y’all.
Peace, joy and love!
Be kind to others, especially yourself!
XOXOXOXO
DAWN MARIE
