Desire Longer, Stronger, Healthier Hair... Here's how!

How to make your hair grow faster, longer and stronger 1. Get regular trims!  For real!It may seem like an oxymoron … cutting to grow..but if you want long hair that's healthy, you must get regular trims. Haircuts get rid of split ends that break your hair.  If  you don’t eliminate your split ends, hair will continue to break up the hair shaft , become brittle and this is no good! Broken hair results in shorter, dull, lifeless hair.  I believe everyone should get a regular trim AT LEAST “once a season”2. Brush your hair!Especially before going to bed.  This will distribute natural oil on the hair. Starting at the scalp, use a boar bristle brush at the way to the ends. This assures the hair will  stay naturally moisturized.  Another reason to brush your hair before bed is that it helps increase circulation, which also helps make your scalp healthier.3.Get a Brazilian Blowout or other ketatin treatmentThrough the use of breakthrough bonding technologies, these customizable smoothing treatments actually improve the condition of the hair by creating a protective protein layer around the hair shaft to eliminate frizz and smooth hair.  What does that all mean?  Amino Acids and proteins are deposited into the cortex layer of the hair ( all the way into the middle), making the hair so much stronger.  These treatments can last unto 12 weeks depending on awareness to taking care of it.. by using products that have no sodium chloride. Routine treatments will “layer” into the hair , letting clients go a little longer and longer between service… and hair is growing long, strong and FRIZZ free. ( Please note that these are NOT straightening treatments)4. Eating the right foods.Everything you consume in your body , will partly come out through your hair. To promote proper  hair growth, you need to 'feed' the hair from the inside!"Try increasing your protein such as fish, beans, nuts, and whole gains. 6. Skip the daily shampoo.I know my clients and people that are close to me are sick of me asking “how often do YOU shampoo …. I myself shampoo once… MAYBE… twice  a week…and yes, I do work out.  My shower cap is not that cute but it IS my friend.   Cleansing your hair  two to three times a week allows your natural oils to penetrate your hair, allowing it to hydrate and repair itself.  Any more than this could be stripping it, leaving your hair “naked”! 7. Add a vitamin to your routine. Which one you may ask. .. ???! Biotin is essential.  I personally take Viviscal when I’m looking to grow my hair “ obnoxiously “. This secret was given to me by a famous celebrity hair dresser ( Ronnie Stam) who informed me this is what his clientele of super models take… since they are always looking to destroy and then rebuild.  It works! Otherwise , I look to straight up Hair and Nail Vitamins… the key ingredients  are packed full of good stuff such as Vitamin C, B and Biotin.  (Vitamin B is great for moods… so you will have gorgeous hair while in a GREAT mood! )8. Finish your shower with a cool rinse.A super steamy shower isn't just bad for your skin…. It’s really rough on your hair.   Trust me when I say I am the first one to crank that hot water dial all the way but just by turning the water temperature down when you shampoo and then completing  it with a cool water rinse will close down the cuticle.  This will seal the hair and help strength it before you style. 9. Be careful when you brush wet hair.Hair is very vulnerable  when it's wet.  Brushing the hair before washing will get the knots out easier . After cleansing the hair only use a “Tangle Teezer” or “Wet Brush”.  Both these brushes glide through the hair and can be bought inexpensively at Target or online.10. Start using minoxidil. If you feel your hair is thinning and this is stressing…pick up a can of woman’s rogaine or other professional products on the market that have minoxidil in it.  It is FDA approved, proved to stop hair loss hair and hair growth.,11. Sleep on a silk pillowcase.Getting better hair while sleeping IS possible.  Remember when our grandmothers slept on SILK pillowcases so they won’t disturb their “shampoo sets”? — Silk is easier on hair, helping avoid tangles and breakage. The less breakage the longer your hair will grow. https://seattledawn.com#hair #healthyhair #hairblog #blog #hairstyle #longhair #hairstylist #biotin #haircut
