The Lookout Lodge , Venue that will warm your heart

When I first went to The Lookout Lodge for a style shoot, some years back... I was blown away first by the view! Gorgeous mountain views with stunning trees showing off their splendor, every month of the year.  Then I was introduced to the owner, Creighkett "Gilpin" Smith.  She is very welcoming , personable and very organized.  Since this day , I have had the pleasure of working at her venue several times.  Any time a bride tells me that they are getting married at The Lookout Lodge I know it's going to be an amazing day!Here is a little about this venue and it's amazing women that make it such a great place for any special occasion!Can you tell me a little about what you "Specialize " in?"Breathtaking views, Unforgettable Woodland Weddings & Events"What made you get into this~ What is your "why"?"I want to share our beautiful woodland oasis with others... I love promoting the travel, tourism and event industry in my community and sharing this hidden gem with people everywhere."Where do you see yourself in 5 years?"As a destination wedding and event venue. Where couples, families and entire wedding groups can rent the entire lodge for the weekend"Tell me a story that sticks out in your mind that you encountered on the job ( can be funny, heart felt, mind blowing… whatever comes to mind)"I always get emotional and misty eyed when the daughter dances with the dad.  ~ My favorite part of any wedding ~ because Im a daddy's girl still today. LOVE MY DAD !"If you didn’t do this, what would you do instead and why?"I would be a helicopter pilot. But you have to have better eye sight then what I have 😊 So probably shouldn't fly around if I can't see 20/20."What is your advice to potential clients about your business?"This is your day. Be careful of everyone with wonderful intentions to help you. Keep in mind you are getting married. Accept help from those who genuinely what you want and desire."What do you recommended for a smooth interaction with your business?"Communicate.Communicate.Communicate! It's the key issue when things go haywire !"Do you have a mentor or inspiration?"Sometimes our mentor or inspiration is what we don't want to be like. I see people and businesses all the time make mistakes, mistreat clients or miscommunicate. My inspiration comes from what I don't want to be like."What makes your business stand out from others?"The woods, we love being in the woods with a natural log theme, mountain views and attention to details.
