Real Estate: My WHY

Well hello there!Can I tell you a story about why I got into Real Estate?2007/08 I was divorced, a single mom, and scared. I ventured out to buy my first home on my own. This was a time when banks were giving out loans to anyone for any amount.My ex-husband is a wealth manager. One of the positives I took away from that marriage (besides my beautiful son) was knowing my limits on purchasing such a large commitment.Many real estate agents tried to steer me into homes beyond my budget... encouraging me to take out large amounts, and "not to worry.".. I can pay it off over decades!As I stated, I was single, a mom, and scared. I found an incredible agent who was honest, thorough and empowered me as a woman.. giving me the confidence to be a STRONG SMART businesswoman...I dreamed of being this for other people, especially women. So I went to online Real Estate school while working, took the real estate exam in 2011 and my dream came true until I had to put it on pause (that's another story for another day).Now I am back at it and so excited to continue down this path...this time with my son.. who saw me pursue a dream even during a time I was struggling. He remembers all the days I brought him to show homes and help clients with negotiations. The late nights and early mornings..Brock is just as passionate as I am. Excelling at customer care, listening to clients needs while multi tasking to take care of our clients so they can have a postive experience as they take the steps forward into their next chapter in life.I am so grateful to be able to give back and help those in need of buying and selling in such a complex, confusing time... .......What is YOUR story?Why do you do what you do??I would absolutely LOVE to hear...
