Summer 2025
"Every summer has it's own story"
You guys, we made it! Summer is finally here, and I, for one, can not be happier.
Last sunset of Spring 2025
After two full years of being married and living full time in West Seattle, I am still finding the perfect schedule for the commute to Tacoma, remodeling a 1913 home on a bluff, school/sewing, semi-retirement, and my desire to continue to do hair.
I have found that working Sundays and Mondays are the best days to offer, this allows one day for my working clients to come in on a weekend day, and other clients who are attracted to a weekday service.
This being said, I will be transitioning to an every-other-week schedule. ( Working every other Sunday and Monday )
The commute/traffic, gas prices, and all the "joys" of driving up and down I-5 are starting to wear on me (and my vehicle)
My FJ! The Road Warrior
I recently was able to get an order of the original Brazilian Blowout Solution, so for the time being,
I am still offering this service ( It will no longer be legal to do after the first of the year)
This being said, the products (Original or Formaldehyde Free) have gone way up in purchasing, along with all other hair products, insurance and licenses, a ton of hair salons have shut their doors due to costs.
I can honestly say my prices are still lower than most, especially at the level and quality of services.
My prices remain the same if paid in cash. I also offer Zelle and Venmo payments at a $20-$30 increase.

I will be heading to Chicago for a family reunion/birthday trip for a few days in the second week of September. Anyone who has must-sees or must-dos in the Chicago area, reach out! I would love to hear!
“The Roeder’s” at our favorite artist, Leon Bridges concert on the lawn.
We, my sweetie and I, are researching/training for a big trip next June. We plan to walk part of the Camino de Santiago or the Sentier Des Douaniers (Gr 34/Customs Officers Path). I'm leaning towards the GR 34! Let me know if any of my lovelies or loved ones of my lovelies have done these... I will take any advice or training tips!
One last thing I have added to the mix: I have decided to make a special piece of art in the form of a quilt.
June 14th, my daughter Amira would have been 26, June 15th, my son Luke would have been 25..
I have kept all their clothes for years in two boxes… Never quite sure what I would do with them. Then a plan started to develop...
In June 2024, an idea came to me: I would start sewing. I would sit down at a sewing machine after decades of giving it up. I wanted to fine-tune my sewing skills so that I could accurately and precisely make a memory quilt from all the beautiful items that have been stashed away.
Ever since that day, first at my grandma’s 1960s machine, then… I bought myself a new machine.
What has transpired from this is a newfound love/obsession with sewing. It excites me for the future, this new chapter in my life ….
So I have started “THE” quilt. Yes, it is sad to take all of their clothes....cut them up, but I am elated to be making a piece of art to remember for years and years to come….
"The best way to predict the future is to create it."
Much love and prayers to all of you, I truly hope this summer, 2025, is full of sunshine, not only outside but also in your hearts... may it be the best time of your life!
